THE POSITION:

We are seeking people who have a strong desire to help children and families be successful in their lives no matter what barriers they may face!  County Caseworkers can make a huge, positive impact on the children and families they encounter.

Work Schedule: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday
Lunch Period: 1 Hour
 
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

The Intake Worker will receive, evaluate, and assess referrals and requests for service to determine whether or not a child is abused, neglected, abandoned, exploited, a status offender, or otherwise at risk and in need of services by Children and Youth Services or other appropriate community service agencies.

The focus of services at the Intake level shall be to evaluate the possibility, degree, or frequency of risks, to ensure the safety and welfare of the child, and to develop an appropriate plan of action to alleviate the risks, while initiating agency services and/or referrals to collaborative services to meet the needs of the child and family. 

The population served shall be any Clarion County child for whom a referral or request for service is made and any child who is alleged to have been abused in Clarion County.  Intake Workers are the bridge to connect families and children in need of assistance with the community services that can assist them, thus improving their lives.
 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:

Legal Requirements:

·     You must pass a background investigation

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
·     Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police Clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
