The department provides services to adults and juveniles who have been placed under supervision by the Clarion County Court of Commons Pleas. Individuals are encouraged to make pro-social decisions, to restore victims to the degree possible, and to overcome maladaptive behaviors. Services are coordinated with other agencies, such as mental health or drug & alcohol, with the goal of reducing an offender's risk to reoffend. Individuals under court supervision are seen in the homes, at their school or workplace, at community service events and at the Probation Office. Probation officers are peace officers and have the authority to arrest those offenders who violate court-ordered conditions and bring them back before the court to be held accountable.
